BCC Men's Seniors Held in Trying Weather

The 34th running of the Brockville Country Club's Men's Senior (50+) Golf Tournament was held Friday, July 19, 2013 in very trying weather conditions. Temperatures were 33+ Fahrenheit; high humidity and very high winds. Then with just three groups to finish, dangerous black clouds rolled in and players were called off the course just before the sky opened up in a torrential downpour. And then the power went out! But everyone held in there. Dinner was served by BCC staff in the dark; the three groups went back to the course to finish after dinner and results were basically manually calculated.
The Winners of the BCC 34th Senior Men's were:
50 to 59: Gross - Dale Robertson; Net - Ron Smith
60 to 64: Gross - Rick St. Denis; Net - Mo Gariepy
65 to 69: Gross - Brian Darling; Net - Brian McRobie
70 to 75: Gross - Ron Lacey; Net - Chris Butler
76+: Gross - Bill Logan; Net George Hamilton
And the Overall Winner, Gross: Richard Greer (seen in the photo below receiving the trophy and prize from Dale Watts; Net - Smith Hazzard.
CONGRATULATIONS to Dale Watts, Derek MacDonald, the many volunteers and to all our BCC staff for running a very successful BCC 34th Senior Men's Golf Tournament in very trying conditions. We are sure for next year's 35th, the weather will be great!
