Social Evening Nets $1,200 Winner

A Brockville Country Club Social Evening was held Friday, August 27, 2010, with the promise that a lucky winner would go home with a check for $1,200.00. Over the past year, $100 was added to the pot at each special BCC event and a name was drawn from a list of all members. The member had to be present to win. With no-one claiming the prize the pot grew to $1,200. Soooo .... to get a winner, the Social was promoted as a draw for just those attending. And some 130 members came out for appetizers, soft music, a few drinks and a fun evening with friends. Did we get a winner? YES!! The lucky winner is Elizabeth Vaughan, seen receiving the check from BCC's president Bob Larocque.
Many thanks to all the members who donated money in the building of the pot to $1,200. It was a fun program which assisted in drawing members to various BCC events.

Ready Mixed Concrete Invades the BCC

They say a customer is not a customer until they return a second time! Well in the case of the Ready Mixed Concrete Association of Ontario, this past Monday they just held their fourteenth annual golf tournament and banquet at the BCC.
Over 90 members of the association came from far and wide to golf, to have a great meal and for a lot of camaraderie. And no, those aren't their golf carts parked out front!
A note from their New Business Manager stated, "it was a great event and the facilities were perfect". The BCC looks forward to again hosting their tournament in 2011.
