A Great 100th Anniversary Celebration Day

Brockville Country Club, July 5, 2014 - The official day of celebration for Brockville Country Club's 100th anniversary was held, Saturday, July 5, 2014. And what a day it was! Events ran from 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM. A shotgun start golf event started things off; lunchtime had the Healy & Orr band playing, a group photo out on the 1st tee, presentations by dignitaries, a second shotgun start golf tournament at 12:30 PM, followed by a junior time capsule burial, dinner in the Granite Hall, golf prizes, auctions and dancing again to Healy & Orr. The weather was perfect and everyone seemed to have a great celebration.
We would especially like to thank the dignitaries, many who travelled a long way to offer congratulations to the BCC on our 100th and to present a scroll or plaque. The picture below includes:
(1st row, l to r): Bruce Wylie, JRFM and M.C.; Christine Dengel, Golf Canada; Ray Bushfield, BCC president; (2nd row, l to r): Rob Smith, councillor Elizabethtown-Kitley; Jim Pickard, mayor E-K; David Henderson, mayor, Brockville; (3rd row, l to r): Dave Mills retired Exec Dir Golf Association of Ontario; Steve Carrell, Exec Dir GAO; Steve Clark, MPP Leeds-Grenville; (4th row, l to r): Jim Miller, E-K chair economic development; Glenn Singleton, BCC general manager; Tom Hossfeld, president, Ottawa Valley Golf Association.
