tournament goes toward the St Mary Senior Girl's basketball team. Some 108 players headed out in the 1:00 PM shotgun start followed by a banquet and huge prize table awards held in the BCC's main dinning room.
Matt Reil, teacher and coach of the Crusaders shows his stuff teeing off hole #12. Helped by Jeff Bates and some 25 to 30 school and parent volunteers, the effort pays off in assisting the team reach its goals. Last year the fundraiser helped send the girls to Florida where they won the tournament. This year the team will be hosting the 2011 OFSAA "AA" Girls Basketball Championships at St Mary Catholic High School in Brockville from November 24th to the 26th.
It was a beautiful sunny day and Matt wanted to ensure that Derek, Lawrence, Denise, James and their staffs were thanked for ensuring all aspects of the day ran smoothly. The BCC wishes the Crusaders the Best of Luck and we look forward to hosting their fund raiser in 2012 .. as we are sure they will again be pursuing another exciting project.
