Saturday, April 25, 2015 - Three hundred and twenty five individuals attended the 130th anniversary of the Brockville & District General Hospital Foundation's black tie benefit gala in the "Granite Hall" of the Brockville Country Club. Greeted by co-chairs Dr. Ardis and Marsha Lindsay, each individual walked into an atmosphere of Springtime in Paris with Parisian music, the Eiffel Tower, garden paths with trees and brick-edged gardenettes, cafe seating and sinfully delicious French cuisine food stations. The BCC Granite Hall has never seen such spectacular decorations.
The evening featured entertainment by a member of Cirque du Soleil, as well as Pauly and the Goodfellas and locally-themed humour by MC and BCC member Chris Puddicombe. The fundraising event brought in $401,005 for a long-awaited renovation project. The project will result in the refurbishing of 15 inpatient rooms and hallways and an already completed family sitting room within the Brockville General Hospital.
Congratulations to the BGH Foundation organizing committee and to BCC staff for such a great and successful gala.
