Tuesday, April 1, 2014 - The Brockville Country Club, on the evening of April Fools was the scene of the first-ever Uppity Improv Society performance before a live crowd. And a crowd it was. Around 100 BCC members and guests of all ages lined up in the bar area ready for the doors to the dining room area (set up with stage, chairs, lighting and sound) to open for the show.
Sixteen (16) "improvers" performed a fast paced show and an action-packed mix of improv and sketch comedy that had the large audience continually laughing. The Uppity Improv Society was founded by Mark Oliver (far right) and Curt Geneau (at left) and currently has around 30 members.
The Uppity Improve Society is holding free drop in classes at the Brockville Country Club on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Their next performance is scheduled at the BCC for Saturday, May 24, 2014. It will surely be another exciting evening at the Brockville Country Club.
