Baie D'Urfe, Quebec: The Quebec Challenge Cup has been in circulation since 1874. Some 60 clubs belong to the Canadian Branch of the Royal Caladonia Curling Club and have continuously defended and challenged for the Cup since then. The BCC last held the Cup in 1975-76. Being BCC's turn, eigth (8) players made the trek to Baie D'Urfe Jan 17th to challenge. The 2 team, total points format is unique and Baie D'Urfe were great hosts. The teams representing the BCC were Steve Lodge, Matt Hone, Jonathan Penney & Gord McCrady Jr.; and Kiel Gallinger, Arron Glazier, Ian Soutar & Charlie Brady. The result! Brockville 11, Baie D'Urfe 14. Nice try guys and thanks for a good showing on behalf of the BCC.
